Terms of Service
Updated 22 August 2026
What You vs You is
You vs You is a running app: it records and imports your runs, compares every number against your own history, and helps you plan training. Using it means agreeing to these terms.
Not medical advice
The app turns your own recordings — pace, heart rate, sleep — into summaries, estimates and suggestions. They are training information, not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Talk to a doctor before acting on anything here if you have a health condition, and stop and seek care if something feels wrong on a run. You know your body; the app only knows your data.
Your account and your data
You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Your data stays yours: the runs, measurements and tags you bring are not ours to sell, and the privacy policy describes exactly what is collected and why. You can delete your account and its data at any time, from the app or by writing to us.
Connected services
If you connect a third-party service (Apple Health, Strava, an Oura ring), the app reads only what that connection is for, and you can disconnect it at any time. Those services have their own terms, which are between you and them.
Fair use
Do not use the service to break the law, to probe or overload the systems behind it, or to access anyone else's data. We can suspend accounts that do.
Availability and warranty
The service is provided as-is, without warranty. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages from using it. Nothing in these terms limits liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.
Changes
If these terms change materially, the date above changes and the app will say so. Continuing to use the service after that is acceptance of the new terms.
